Hi Hi It's Me...AshleyWelcome to my journey to knowledge.
I have always had a passion for learning. When I first went into college I never in my wildest dreams thought I would end up as a teacher. I actually made fun of all of my friends that were becoming teachers. In college I was very passionate about the criminal justice field as well as friends at forensic science which is what my degree is in. After college I went back-and-forth between either working with juvenile offenders or working as a crime scene investigator. While figuring out where I wanted to work, I started subbing and I fell in love with teaching. So I decided to start the Impact program and I got a job at Hoover elementary as an eighth grade self-contained teacher. I've completed my very first year of teaching this year and I feel I made the right choice in becoming a teacher; this is where I'm supposed to be. I enjoy sharing my passion for learning, my passion for the criminal justice field, my passion for math, my passion for science, and my passion for reading with my students. I want to leave a legacy behind of students who are just as passionate about learning as I am. I want to leave a legacy behind of students who have good character and are just overall kind productive citizens. I want my heart print to go on for generations through the students that I have affected. When I found out that the impact program with now integrated with the Masters program I was so excited. I am very passionate about math and science and so I decided I was going to get my Masters in STEM. To further explore my passions and become as knowledgeable as I can so I can pass this knowledge on to my students. |
